Bonds set for Tupelo shooting suspects

TUPELO – Bonds were set for two men accused of shooting a man in the back on Shirley Avenue on Tuesday.

Lashawn Bell, 28, of Columbus was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and had his bond set at $250,000. Adrian Richey, 27, of Saltillo was charged with accessory after the fact to aggravated assault and his bond was set at $200,000.

Tupelo Police Detectives said Bell allegedly shot Joshua Walker in the back after Walker exited the vehicle that the three men were in. A fourth man was also in the vehicle but he was not charged in the crime.

Walker remains in the North Mississippi Medical Center in stable condition.

The shooting is still under investigation, according to Tupelo Police Department.
