NEW ALBANY - Police still have no suspects in the shooting death of Amanda Price at her home Monday night.

New Albany Police Chief David Grisham said Wednesday no progress has been made in the case. However, a $20,000 reward is still on the table for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Price, a 31-year-old speech pathologist in the New Albany School District, and who shot her husband, New Albany High head football coach Ron Price, in the shoulder.

Investigators from the Mississippi Highway Patrol are now assisting the New Albany Police Department in the investigation.

"Nothing has changed," said Grisham. "We don't have any leads and no one has called us with any tips, so we are still working to try to get a break in the case. We were really hoping that the reward would get people to call in with tips but it hasn't yet."

Amanda Price was shot and killed about 10 p.m. Monday at their home on Murrah Road while taking out the family's dog. Grisham said Ron Price said he heard his wife scream and ran to check on her and was shot in the shoulder.

Amanda Price was pronounced dead at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. According to a preliminary autopsy report, she died of a single gunshot wound to the chest from a .380-caliber handgun.

Ron Price was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo and was released after surgery.

Their 3-year-old daughter, Molly Addison, was in the home when the shootings occurred and was taken by her grandparents.

Funeral services for Amanda Price are at 1 p.m. today at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
