Bond $30,000 for man held in Booneville robbery

BOONEVILLE - The suspect in a Tuesday bank robbery in Booneville remains in Prentiss County Jail on $30,000 bond.

Rodney W. Davis, 46, of 527 County Road 513, Rienzi, was charged with robbery of the East Church Street branch of Farmers and Merchants Bank, said Booneville Police Chief Michael Ramey.

The bank robbery was reported about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday and Davis was taken into custody a short time later on Brewer Street with an undisclosed amount of money in his possession.

No weapon was seen during the robbery and no weapons were found on Davis when he was arrested.
