Brown, who is from Attala County, was formally charged Wednesday with armed robbery and grand larceny, Shannon Police Chief Desirae Kerschner.
Authorities say Brown used a gun and crowbar to forcing the clerk to open an ATM at the Hilltop Grocery Store on Highway 45 last Friday night around 7.
Brown's bond was set at $500,000 by a municipal court judge.
