Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal - Blue Springs man sentenced in child porn case

GREENVILLE - A Blue Springs man has been sentenced to 87 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.

Federal court documents show Russell K. "Rusty" Nicholson was arrested in March following a search of a home by the Union County Sheriff's Office and the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

Authorities say they seized two computers from the home.

He entered a guilty plea to the charge in September. He was sentenced this week in federal court in Greenville.

Nicholson was ordered to report to federal prison no later than Feb. 13.
