The 2012 Elvis Presley Festival poster was unveiled during a ceremony at the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau on Friday. Artist Lucia Randle said the work was inspired by a John Lennon quote "Before Elvis, there was nothing." She said her intent was to highlight the showmanship side of Elvis.

Officials announced the lineup and unveiled the poster for this year's 14th annual Tupelo Elvis Festival during a ceremony at the Tupelo Convention and Visitor's Bureau on Friday.

The poster, designed by local artist Lucia Randle, features a 70s Elvis in a rhinestone-studded jumpsuit and cape striking one of his classic poses of the era on top of a starry background.

The line-up of musicians to perform during the festival features local, national and international acts such as Little Big Town, David Nail, Paul Thorn and Jordyn Mallory.

Three of the past five winners of the National Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest are also slated to perform including: Bill Cherry, Brandon Bennett and Cody Slaughter.

Tickets, available via Ticketmaster and the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association office will go on sale on January 17. The event will begin on Thursday, May 31 and end on Sunday, June 3.
