Anderson chosen to lead Verona police

VERONA – Union County Deputy Anthony Anderson was chosen to become the new chief of the Verona Police Department.

Anderson was selected by the town's aldermen this week and began on the job on Thursday. He replaces Leo Mask, who was elected sheriff of Pontotoc County.
