Tupelo firefighters responded to a fire at Level 3 night club in downtown Tupelo Friday morning.

The fire, which started in a second floor storeroom, was extinguished by the sprinkler system before it could spread, said Tupelo Fire Inspector Jason Cross.

The West Main Street building was unoccupied at the time of the 8 a.m. fire. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
