Anthony Branch, 43, pleaded guilty to the charges and will serve a total of 12 years based on sentences, suspensions and concurrent sentences, reported the Daily Corinthian.
The father and daughter, who lived in the Blackland community, were taken by force to a bank in an unsuccessful attempt to force them to cash a large check.
Two other suspects, Jason Channin Young and Quincy Jamuel Miller, both of Baldwyn, who pleaded guilty in October 2011 to two counts of kidnapping, two counts of burglary and larceny of a dwelling and one count of armed robbery, have not yet been sentenced.
