Prentiss County man charged in theft of tractor

BOONEVILLE – The Prentiss County sheriff believe the theft of a tractor has been solved with the arrest of a New Site man on Friday.

Namon Wheelington, 34, of 318 County Road 4251,

New Site, was charged with grand larceny, Sheriff Randy Tolar said. Investigators in the case picked up and questioned Wheelington on Thursday, determining that he had allegedly sold the tractor to a scrap metal salvage yard.

He was charged Friday and bond was set at $5,000.
