- Coaches and players for the Lee County Tiger Cats pro football team will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Tupelo Barnhill’s. Interested players can meet with the coaches tonight as well. The team’s season begins in May.

- The Blue Mountain College women lost to Mid-Continent 70-63 on Thursday. Jessi Hayles (South Pontotoc) led the Lady Toppers (4-22, 1-14 TSAC) with 12 points.

Shane Butler (Tupelo) scored a game-high 18 points as the BMC men (7-20, 0-15) fell to Mid-Continent 54-52 in overtime.

- Delta State women’s basketball coach Sandra Rushing recorded her 400th career win on Thursday as the No. 4 Lady Statesmen (19-5, 11-2 GSC) defeated New Orleans 80-52.

Rhandi Ball (Pontotoc) scored eight points for DSU.
