THS Soundwave wins Nashville competition

TUPELO – The Tupelo High School Soundwave show choir took first place in the women’s division at the 16th annual Music City Show Shoppe Show Choir Invitational in Nashville, Tenn., over the weekend.

The 40-member group directed by Suzy W. Williams competed against groups from South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama and Ohio to bring home the Grand Champion Women’s Division Show Choir title.

The group was accompanied by an 11-piece band “Structure” directed by Debbie Bullock and also had a stage crew and costume crew.

The competition was held at Belmont University.
