Williams, 22, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge David Sanders on Wednesday and is being held for arraignment March 6, when formal charges will be read to her before Magistrate S. Alan Alexander.
Williams is accused of bank robbery assault with a deadly weapon.
Her one-page indictment, dated Feb. 22 but just made public, accuses her of robbing or attempting to rob the bank at 63471 Highway 25, Smithville, and putting a bank teller's life in jeopardy with a Crossman Stinger P36 Airsoft BB pistol.
If convicted, Williams faces up to 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
