Body found near Oktibbeha County lake identified

STARKVILLE — Authorities have identified the body of a man found Wednesday in a wooded area near Oktibbeha County Lake.

Deputies say the body was identified as 51-year-old Melvin Robinson of Starkville.

Deputy Chadd Garnett says in a news release that family found the body and called deputies to the scene. Garnett says foul play is not suspected. No other details were released.

Garnett says an autopsy is being conducted and case is still under investigation.
