TUPELO – A woman remains in the hospital and her husband is in jail following a shooting in Tupelo on Saturday night.

Mary Easterling, 47, was shot in the stomach with a 12-gauge shotgun shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. She is in the hospital in critical condition, said Capt. Tim Tate of the Tupelo Police Department.
