GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) — A Greenville woman, whose toddler died from heat injuries after being place in an electric oven at his family's home, has been sentenced to life in prison.

District Attorney Dewayne Richardson says in a news release that Terrie Robinson pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of murder in the death of 3-year-old Tristan Robinson.

Prosecutors say Greenville police found the boy's body at his mother's apartment on March 1, 2011, after responding to an emergency call.

Richardson says Robinson was sentenced by Circuit Judge Ashley Hines.
