SOUTH CAROLINA 6, TENNESSEE 1: The Gamecocks (23-9, 5-7) batted around and scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to win the weekend series.

Junior Colby Holmes (4-0) allowed one run on four hits in a season-high seven innings.

South Carolina, the two-time defending national champion, has now won back-to-back SEC series after starting out 1-5 in league play. The Gamecocks visit Mississippi State next weekend.

ARKANSAS 8, GEORGIA 0: Razorbacks junior D.J. Baxendale (6-1) struck out seven and allowed six his or eight innings as Arkansas (24-7, 7-5) won its weekend series.

Dominic Ficociello led an 11-hit attack, homering and driving in three runs. The Razorbacks will entertain Kentucky next weekend.

ALABAMA 6, AUBURN 2: The Crimson Tide (13-19, 4-8) swept the visiting Tigers to cap their first SEC series victory of the season.

Jon Keller (1-1) gave up one run and seven hits in 52⁄3 innings to pick up the victory.

Auburn (17-14, 6-6) had won its first three league series of the season – beating Ole Miss, LSU and Mississippi State, all by 2-1 margins.

LSU-FLORIDA: The visiting Tigers (25-7, 8-4) won the series 2-1, winning Saturday’s finale 8-7.

Florida (25-7, 7-5), top-ranked in at least one national poll last week, has lost 5 of its last 7 games and back-to-back SEC series. The Gators fell 2-1 at Ole Miss last weekend.
