Johnnie Harris was announced on Wednesday as associate head coach for the Mississippi
State women's basketball team. She was at Texas A&M for five seasons with Schaefer, who left College Station to take over the MSU program after Sharon Fanning-Otis retired in February.
Harris was the Aggies' special teams coach and was praised by Schaefer as "an outstanding recruiter, but she sees the game in the same light as I do."
