Mississippi St. adds Franklin to women’s basketball staff

STARKVILLE – New Mississippi State women’s basketball coach Vic Schaefer has added another assistant to his staff.

On Thursday he announced the hiring of A’Quonesia “Aqua" Franklin, a former standout at Texas A&M. That’s where Schaefer coached prior to taking the MSU job.

Franklin spent last season as a Kansas assistant, helping the Lady Jayhawks advance to their first Sweet 16 since 1998. She joins Johnnie Harris
