Saltillo Asst. Police Chief Prentiss Brown said Charlie Doss, 42, of Baldwyn, was charged with reckless driving, failure to yield to blue lights, driving with an open container and no proof of insurance.
Doss was apprehended after Tupelo Police put out a spike strip south of the Main Street exit on Highway 45 according to Brown.
Saltillo Police received a report this morning about a man jumping up and down on top of his car, possibly intoxicated and blocking traffic along Highway 145 in Saltillo.
When officers responded, Doss drove onto Highway 45.
