Pontotoc's logo back in the late 80's featured a bushel of grapes above the tag line "The Land of Hanging Grapes."
WTVA-TV reports that three days ago all that changed.
Consultants spent three days in marketing and branding meetings with the community members to capture the image Pontotoc wants to portray across the nation.
The new logo's tag line and the bushel of grapes remained. Leaders added the words "Progressive, Productive and Proud."
Also planned is a marketing strategy to help market Pontotoc and connect all its messages into one identity.
