The bond and charge were set Monday.
On Saturday, Norman Tyrone Mitchell of Martin Luther King Drive in Corinth, was taken into custody. Police Chief David Lancaster said it appears Mitchell acted alone and no other suspects are being sought.
Lancaster said Tavarus Holland, 29, of Dickey Street in Corinth, was shot once outside the American Legion building on South Tate Street shortly after midnight Friday. Holland was pronounced dead a short time later at Magnolia Regional Health Center.
Clay Nails was appointed as an attorney for Norman Tyrone Mitchell.
