Police Capt. James Carver tells WABG-TV that investigators believe Nathan Myers fatally shot his girlfriend, 33-year-old Dena Lashea Mason, on Wednesday night at a home they shared with her family. Others in the house were unharmed.
Carver says Mason died from a shotgun wound to the head. Myers was found underneath the house and was in serious condition in a Memphis hospital.
Carver says the investigation is continuing.
