The Clarion-Ledger reports that Hodge and Jason Haynes of Brandon split $700,029 after state and federal taxes on their Mega Millions winnings.
Hodge turns 68 this week. Asked if he plans to keep working at ?Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC's Brandon factory, he said no — he's been working all his life.
Hodge has bought lottery tickets for years in Delta, La., across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg.
He's used part of his winnings to pay off his mortgage and retire a year earlier than he'd planned. Otherwise, he says his only plan is to "take it easy and relax."
