Toppers move to semifinals at TSAC softball tournament

JACKSON, Tenn. – Blue Mountain College won a pair of games on Thursday to advance to today’s semifinals of the TranSouth Athletic Conference softball tournament.

The fifth-seeded Toppers face No. 3 seed Martin Methodist at 2 p.m. Blue Mountain staved off elimination twice Thursday by beating Lyon College 6-2 and Mid-Continent 2-1.

Topper pitcher Halley Beckham (11-13) registered 10 strikeouts to earn the victory against Mid-Continent.
