- Northeast CC will play Jones today at 10 a.m., in an elimination game at the Region XXIII softball tournament in Clinton. The winner faces top-ranked LSU-Eunice in the championship game at noon and earns a berth in NJCAA Division II World Series.
Northeast (32-18) defeated Northwest 3-2 on Friday before suffering its first loss of the tournament with a 9-0 setback to LSU-Eunice.
-Itawamba CC defeated East Central 8-7 on Friday in the opening game of their MACJC state baseball playoff series. Game 2 is today in Fulton at 2 p.m.
