For that work, the Mississippi Heritage Trust recently awarded Price and his wife, Anita Price, the 2012 Heritage Award of Excellence for Restoration/Rehabilitation. It's Mississippi's highest award for the restoration or rehabilitation of a historic structure.
The neoclassical building was a lodge for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows from 1907 until 1987. It had been vacant for decades when the Prices bought it in 2008.
The couple also bought and restored apartments on the same street.
