MSU (33-21, 12-16 SEC) will play topseeded
Alabama (47-6, 23-5) on Thursday at 7 p.m. in a game to be seen on ESPN. The other opening matchups in the single-elimination event: Florida vs. LSU, Tennessee vs. Auburn and Georgia vs. Kentucky.
The semifinals will be Friday and the championship game on Saturday.
Mississippi State closed the regular season on Sunday with a 2-1 loss at Auburn. The Bulldogs had won 12 games in a row for first-year coach Vann Stuedeman before Saturday's 4-1 loss at Auburn.
Alabama swept MSU in three games at Starkville earlier this season.
Ole Miss (22-32, 7-21) beat South Carolina 3-2 on Sunday to closed its season on a five game winning streak.
