OXFORD – A University of Mississippi employee resigned and was escorted from campus late last week.

Tim Angle resigned as the associate provost in charge of Outreach and Continuing Education.

Mitchell Diggs, associate director of Public Relations for the university, said he is unaware of who escorted Angle from his office or why but he did confirm Angle’s resignation.

He said any information surrounding the resignation is confidential.

Angle oversaw the University’s off-campus centers in Tupelo and Southaven as well as the study abroad and summer programs.
