The Mississippi Department of Health regularly inspects restaurants and food facilities.

The facilities are graded from A to C. “A” is the best. “C” is the equivalent of failing, but the inspection isn’t bad enough to merit the closure of the restaurant. Any restaurants with a C gets a follow-up within 10 days.

The following Lee County facilities were inspected between 4/30 and 5/7:

A’s

Sam’s Club Cafe

Sam’s Club bakery

Pizza Hut (West Main location)

Park Heights

Krystal

The Snowball Shoppe (West Main location)

P&G Wings & Things (Shannon)

SH&H Concession (snowball stand at North 3rd Street in Saltillo)

Red Lobster

Church Street School

M.L. King Early Childhood Development Center

Lost Pizza Co.

B’s

Ryan’s Steak House (corrected on site – proper date marking and disposition; adequate handwashing facilities supplied and accessible)

C’s

No C’s in this time frame.

The health department has the following disclaimer:
“Data in this system come from two very different systems. If in doubt about any facility, call the responsible health department. Data are for informational purposes, not enforcement.”

The health department also has the option of revising the reports.
