But after noticing that the Pontotoc Lady Warriors won the Class 4A State Track Championship Monday, let me attempt to do my share of tooting for a coach that perhaps does not get enough recognition for the state championships he has won - Mike Bain.
Since beginning his teaching career at Pontotoc in 1976 (you do the math on how long that is), Bain has won 43 state titles as a coach.

A total of 11 of those are with track, while 33 are with cross country.
