TUPELO - Lee County students will only have class for part of the day on Halloween.

The district's school board voted on Tuesday to change Oct. 31 from a full day to a 60 percent day. Teachers will spend that afternoon attending the annual Industry Education day, which brings together teachers from the Tupelo and Lee County school districts to learn about the skills being sought by the county's industries.

The day will be one of three 60-percent days in Lee County Schools next year. The other two are Sept. 26 and Feb. 27.
