FULTON – Itawamba Community College freshman outfielder Jessi Patterson was named third

team All-American by the NJCAA on Friday.

Patterson, a native of Nettleton, is the first Lady Indian to earn All-American honors as a freshman. She finished the season with a .317

batting average, including 14 home runs and 43 RBIs. Patterson’s home run total was one shy of the single-season school record.

“Jessi made a tremendous impact on our season this year,” said ICC softball coach Andy Kirk. “This award shows all the hard work she put in the during the preseason dedicated towards having the type of season she had this year. We

are so excited for her.”

Patterson was named MACJC north division Offensive Player of the Year and was an All-Region XXIII selection.
