TUPELO - The Lee County School District filled two vacant assistant principal positions during a specially-called board meeting on Thursday.

Andy Brooks was named an assistant principal at Saltillo High School, and Michael Coggins was named one at Saltillo Elementary.

Brooks, who was an assistant principal in Baldwyn, replaces Roman Doty, who became principal at Mooreville Middle School. Coggins, a special education teacher at Guntown, takes the spot of Belinda McKinion, who became Saltillo Elementary's principal.

The board had previously also approved Josh McClung as the other assistant principal at Saltillo High School. He replaces Brock Puckett, who moved to the district's curriculum department.
