CORINTH – Doors to the Alcorn County courthouse that had to be locked with a key have left late-night occupants locked inside more than once.

At the request of Circuit Clerk Joe Caldwell, the Board of Supervisors this

week approved installing pushbar handles on the doors that will allow people to exit and automatically lock the doors behind them.

The new pushbars will be installed on four courthouse doors at a cost of about $1,800.
