WLOX-TV reports the captain of a passing boat spotted the 21-foot pleasure craft explode Friday and rescued the three passengers from the water. According to the Coast Guard, all three suffered burns; one person was also cut on the leg.
The Coast Guard sent a crew to the damaged vessel to put out the fire and stabilize it.
What sparked the explosion remains under investigation.
