One-vehicle accident sends woman to hospital

TUPELO – A Tupelo woman was taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center after an accident Monday morning on Highway 363 near the Natchez Trace.

Mississippi Highway Patrolman Casey Mayo said the woman, 33, ran off the road and overcorrected, causing her vehicle, a 2002 white Nissan Sentra, to flip. She was taken to the hospital for observation. A baby was in the vehicle with her and was not injured.

The accident happened at 10:12 a.m. Monday.
