The sign will have the Golden Wave logo and proclaim “Tupelo Public School District Pride,” Superintendent Gearl Loden announced Wednesday.
The signs will be ready soon, he said, noting they will be distributed for free on school campuses to anyone who wants one.
The district is also creating a separate yard sign for its honor roll students, Loden said. That sign will proclaim the recipient is an honor student and will have a box for each of the four nine-week grading periods. Students will receive a gold icon or badge to place on the sign each time they earn a spot on the Superintendent’s List and a blue one when they are on the President’s List, Loden said.
