TUPELO – A Lee County man is charged with one count of breaking and entering an occupied dwelling following a weekend burglary.

Justin M. Kilgo of 329 County Road 1409 was arrested and charged with the crime along with two juveniles. Kilgo is accused of removing an air conditioning unit to enter the home to steal the resident’s debit and credit cards, said Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson. Because the residence belonged to a 77-year-old woman, the penalties are enhanced, Johnson said.

Kilgo’s bond was set at $50,000.

The investigation is ongoing, so more charges could be forthcoming.
