Earl Rogers, 80, of Shannon, died after being transported to the North Mississippi Medical Center.
The accident happened when two cars approached the intersection of County Road 506 and County Road 300 at the same time, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The accident is under investigation
Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said they took a blood sample from the driver of the second vehicle and have sent it to the state crime lab to be tested.
