On Saturday, Girl Scouts will be handing out flyers along the downtown route for the annual 5K run/walk that raises money to provide mammograms for the medically underserved in north Mississippi, community education programs and breast cancer research. Pink the Street signs and pink ribbons will be available through the Komen office with help from Signs First and Boyd’s Flowers. Signs are $25, and ribbons are $15. The Komen North Mississippi Race for the Cure 5K run/walk will start at 8 a.m. Oct. 27 in Fairpark in downtown Tupelo.
Registration is available online at www.komennorthms.org. Walk-up registration will be available Oct. 25-27 at the Tupelo Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
