Man killed in collision with train

LUCEDALE, Miss. (AP) — A 23-year-old George County man has died after being his vehicle collided with a freight train.

Shonna Pierce, spokeswoman for the George County Sheriff's Department, says Anthony Neil Pugh was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pierce says Pugh died when his SUV collided about 6:30 p.m. Thursday with a Canadian National freight train on Agricola-Latonia Road in the Shipman community of George County.
