Due to repairs being performed on the Old West Point Road Bridge, crews are intermittently closing parts of Highway 82 eastbound in order to replace a damaged beam and other damaged areas on the bridge. MDOT has provided a list of the upcoming closures:
- Key Constructors, Inc. began work on Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. and have temporarily closed one eastbound lane of Highway 82. This single-lane closure may be in place through the life of the project.
- On Thursday, September 27 at midnight, both eastbound lanes will be closed and reopened in 30 minute increments. One of the eastbound lanes will be opened at 5 a.m. and operated under a single-lane closure until midnight.
- Beginning at midnight on Friday, September 28, both lanes will be closed in 30 minute intervals until 5 a.m. Saturday morning.
MDOT regrets any inconveniences these closures may cause.
