“Gone with the Wind” isn’t a comedy, but the play about the making of the movie is full of laughs. Tupelo Community Theatre’s production of “Moonlight & Magnolias” stars Todd Barnett (pictured) as the film’s producer, David O. Selznick, who shuts the movie down early in its production. It needs a new direction, so he hires screenwriter Ben Hecht (Bobby Geno) and director Victor Fleming (John Carroll) to rewrite
the movie’s script in just five days. Hilarity, as they say, ensues. The
comedy takes the stage at The Lyric at 7:30 p.m. tonight-Saturday, as well as at 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $18/adults, $6/students. Learn more about it by calling (662) 844-1935 or visiting tct.ms. (C. Todd Sherman)
