The Wildcats jumped out in front in the first quarter with an 86-yard interception return and a long touchdown pass.
The Bearcats' defense tightened up, however, and had Baldwyn's only points through three quarters, a safety.
That changed in the fourth when Bradley Boose scored on a 2-yard run, and Baldwyn got the winning points minutes later on a 55-yard punt return by Will Moore.
The Bearcats didn't go for a block on the punt but executed the return.

Rashad Turner had TD catches of 66 from Davis Brown and 77 yards from Tae Armstrong.
New Albany 14, Senatobia 7: At New Albany, Boston Newsom's 11-yard run in the third quarter proved to be the game-winner as the Bulldogs (3-4) picked up their third win in the Division 2-4A opener.
Spencer Day put New Albany ahead with a 1-yard run in the first quarter.
North Delta 35, Marshall Academy 27: At Holly Springs, Marshall clawed back from a 20-7 deficit to lead 21-20 after three quarters, but Delta responded with 15 points in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Smithville 47, Coldwater 30: At Coldwater, Smithville (4-1) regained control of the game with 13 fourth-quarter points after Coldwater shaved 12 points off a 35-12 halftime deficit.
H.W. Byers 46, TCPS 6: At Byers, the home team scored all its points in the first half.
Ripley 36, Holly Springs 0: John Austin Moore scored with a 41-yard pass from Cody James and also had a 35-yard TD run for Ripley (4-3).
Oxford 29, New Hope 17: Parker Adamson passed 14 yards to Tolar Presley, and Cody Mills connected on a 34-yard field goal for Oxford (6-0) in a big third quarter.
Starkville 23, Provine 6: Gabe Myles scored on touchdown runs of 4 and 1 yards, as the Yellow Jackets improved to 2-0 in the region.
Potts Camp 53, Middleton, Tenn. 0: At Middleton, Potts Camp's Jordan Harris rushed and passed for more than 100 yards, and Jamarcus Foster rushed nine times for 117 yards to lead the Cardinals (5-1).
West Point 49, Hernando 14: At Hernando, West Point (4-2) scored the game's first 49 points.
Aeris Williams scored on runs of 4, 10 and 15 yards for the Green Wave.
Lafayette County 28 Lewisburg 13: Lafayette (6-1) got touchdown passes of 44 yards from Brandon Mack to D.K. Buford and 22 yards from Mack to Tevon Joyner.
Mack also scored on a 23-yard run, and Buford scored on a 51-yard run.
Belmont 54. Kossuth 26: At Belmont, the Cardinals (4-1) rushed for 321 yards to win easily in their Division 1-3A opener.
Colin Harris scored on runs of 57 and 15 yards and caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Bryan Malone.
Okolona 51, Hatley 0: The Chieftains (3-4) led 26-0 at halftime as Hatley (0-7) remained winless.
Dequin Babbitt scored on runs of 26 an 43 yards, Everett Brooks on runs of 9, 22 and 50 yards.
Calhoun Academy 44, Delta Academy 0: Calhoun remained unbeaten, moving to 7-0 and clinching a first-round home playoff game.
Ackerman 6, East Webster 0: At Ackerman, the Wolverines (5-2), ranked No. 3 in the Daily Journal's poll of area small schools, dropped its division opener on the road.
