In its 22nd year, the event includes live entertainment, carnival rides, games and, of course, cash prizes in a number of cooking categories.
Entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. nightly Thursday through Saturday with gate fees of $6 Thursday and $8 Friday and Saturday.
The line-up of performers include:
* Thursday: 6:30-8 p.m., Sweet Emotions; 8:30-10:30 p.m., Delvis amp& the Mississippi Blue Mafia, an Elvis tribute group.
* Friday: 6:30-7:30 p.m., Ben Ricketts; 7:45-9:15 p.m., Brandon Giles; 9:30-11:30 p.m., Almost Famous.
* Saturday: 6:30-8 p.m., Mary Noyes; 8:15-9:30 p.m., Surviving Allison; 9:45-11:45 p.m., Prowler.
Armbands are available nightly for carnival rides at $15 per night.
When the cooking teams get down to their competition, they are vying for prize money in categories of brisket, pork rib, pork shoulder and chicken, with the grand champion winning $1,000. Prize money is paid to sixth place, with seventh to 10th place receiving certificates. The dessert winner receives $100, as does the "anything but" winner.
The contest judging is held Saturday afternoon, with awards presented in a 4 p.m. ceremony.
