Tupelo director Glenn Payne to premiere three short films
Tupelo filmmaker Glenn Payne has three new short films to premiere, and you have two chances to see them.
“Genrevolt,” “Reverie” and “Third Shift” will premiere in West Point at the Ritz tonight at 7.
Those same shorts will premiere in Tupelo at the Malco at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Tickets to each premiere are $7.
The films aren’t rated, but Payne said the content could be considered rated PG-13.

Bluegrass, gospel on display at dulcimer group’s show
The North Mississippi Dulcimer Association will present old-time music, gospel and bluegrass played on dulcimers at its performance this weekend.
The show is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Natchez Trace Visitor Center in Tupelo.

Quilt exhibit up now at Oren Dunn Museum
Take a step back in time at the Oren Dunn Museum’s exhibit of quilts and vintage clothing and accessories.
The pieces range from the 1890s to the 1950s, and it’s on display now through Nov. 17.
Museum hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $3/adults, $2/seniors and $1.50/children 4-16.

Silversun Pickups, Cloud Nothings to perform at The Lyric Oxford
Los Angeles-based rock band Silversun Pickups has a gig in Oxford on Monday.
The band, whose third record, “Neck of the Woods,” was released in May, will perform at 7 p.m. Monday at The Lyric Oxford.
