TUPELO - Derik Rushing and his family members feuded with another family in May.

"I'd be tickled to do it again," Rushing said.

Cameras captured the whole thing, and the results will air at 2 p.m. Tuesday on My MS, Tupelo cable channel 3.

The 40-year-old Tupelo resident's televised adventure began in February, when his cousin recruited him to attend auditions for "Family Feud."

They went to Louisville, Ky., and played mock versions of the game so producers could get a feel for their enthusiasm.

"One thing they really stressed saying was 'Good answer,'" Rushing said.

The producers invited Rushing, along with Rebecca and Michael Tucker of Tupelo and Chris and Dana Smith of Southaven, to appear on the show.

Rushing admitted some disappointment about going to Atlanta for filming instead of some other far-off place, but that's where "Family Feud" host Steve Harvey lives.

"I thought he would leave during the breaks, but he was there the whole time," Rushing said. "He was talking to us and taking questions from the audience. He was extremely nice."

The players wanted to win enough money to take the family on a vacation, but they signed contracts to keep the results secret. You'll have to tune in Tuesday to see what happened.

"I'm sure we'll take a break at work and watch it on a couple of TVs we have here," Rushing said.
