ICC selects 2009 Hall of Fame

Itawamba Community College faculty and staff members have selected 10 sophomores as members of the 2009 Hall of Fame.

They are Chase M. Betts of Nettleton; Kenneth Brame of Belden; Carlye Carpenter of Guntown; Gregory Windom of Tupelo; Rob Chittom, Hailey Shelton, Carolyn Waters, all of Pontotoc; Meghan Kyle, Kathleen Wathen, both of Amory; and Tyler Smith of Corinth.

Betts, who is majoring in tool and die technology at ICC, is a member of the Indian Delegation. His honors include Who's Who Among American Junior Colleges. He is the son of Vicki Westmoreland.

At ICC, Brame, who is majoring in radiologic technology is a Mississippi Society of Radiologic Technologists officer, treasurer of the Future Radiologic Technologists and a member of ASRT and Phi Theta Kappa. His honors are president's and dean's lists and recipient of ACT and NMMC scholarships. He is the son of Joe and Peggy Jordan and the late Charles Brame.

Carpenter is majoring in psychology at ICC, where she is Lee County representative for the Student Government Association, mascot for the cheerleading squad, sports editor for the Chieftain, captain for the Diamond Girls, secretary of the Modern Language Club and Future Educators of America and a member of Indian Delegation, Fashion Tribe and Baptist Student Union. Her parents are David and Gina Carpenter.

Windom, who is majoring in counseling, has served as Student Government Association president. His honors are Who's Who Among American Junior Colleges and dean's list. He is the son of Lizzie Mae Windom and Robert Windom.
