IUKA – Two people died Saturday in Iuka car crash.

Harris Strickland, 67, and Wanda Strickland, 62, were killed when a vehicle failed to stop at a four-way stop at the intersection of Quitman Street and Mississippi Highway 25.

According to Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon, the Strickland couple was in a 2000 Buick driven by the husband. He was turning left on to Quitman when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by Edward Sprague of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.

Wilemon said a 13-year-old grandson of the Stricklands, who was a backseat passenger, was injured and flown by helicopter to a hospital.

The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured.
